IFNEC and the Nuclear Innovation: Clean Energy Future (NICE Future) initiative sponsored a conference which explored the role that nuclear energy options can play in contributing to economic growth, energy security and access, and environmental stewardship in support of clean energy goals. This conference, opened by high-level speakers from the Japanese government, the Nuclear Energy Agency, IFNEC and the NICE Future initiative, brought together over 130 participants and covered topics such as electricity markets, financing, non-electric applications of nuclear energy, innovation and stake-holder involvement.
